the power lines because
of large wing span of almost 6 to 7 feet and
gets electrocuted.

The process
• Shri Deshalbhai constantly reported casualties
of Sarus due to electrocution to the Forest
Department
• FD requested UGVCL to insulate power lines
• Joint visit FD, UGVCL & Deshalbhai
• UGVCL started replacing conventional wires by
coated ones in some of the villages of Dholka
taluka
RESULTS
• Cost of replacement : Rs. 1,53,000
• Phase-2 at the cost of Rs.1,48,000
• Incidents of electrocution of Sarus
reduced (24 vs 1)
