CURRICULUM VITAE
CHERYL WOLLEY
Collaboratore ed esperto linguistico/Professore a contratto (English Language and Translation) at
the Faculty of Political Science.
Cheryl Wolley graduated at St. David’s college, University of Wales (1975) with a B.A. Honours
combined degree in Philosophy/English and Welsh.
Her post graduate qualifications include:
- 1979 an Italian language diploma at the University of Perugia.
- 2000 The TEFL Certificate (Teachers of English as a Foreign Language), grade
A, obtained at The English Language Centre, Bond Street, London.
- 2001 The TEFL Diploma, grade A+, awarded at The English Language Centre, Bond Street,
London.
- 2007 The Further Certificate for Teachers of Business English LCCI, grade pass with
distinction at the Università Cattolica, Roma.
Since 1976 until the present date she has worked as a native language teacher, teaching English to
students of Political Science from beginner to intermediate level. During her 30 years of experience
she has integrated traditional methodology with multimedia technology. She also taught English at
la Facoltà di Magistero (1977-1978) and at the Faculty of Letters, University of Sassari, Consorzio
Uno, Oristano (2002). During her teaching career she has also taught courses of both a general and
specific ESP nature at the Language Centre of the University of Cagliari, public and private schools
and institutions. Some of the fields covered in the ESP courses include English for International
Relations, Academic Writing, Legal English, and English for Archaeologists, English for Court
Typists, and English for Virtual Librarians.
In addition to teaching she is also a registered translator and interpreter for Cagliari Court. She has
also been a member of many regional examining boards and has organized national and
international congresses.

- Intercultural Communication
