in Italian. Because it is an irregular verb, you will need to
memorize its present tense forms. Remember that the

Use avere caldo/freddo to say that people feel
hot/cold, and essere caldo/freddo to describe things
that are hot/cold. To refer to the weather, use the
expression fare caldo/freddo.
Il giocatore ha caldo.
The player feels hot.

Use di before a noun or a verb with the expressions
avere bisogno, avere paura, and avere voglia. The
verb that follows must be in the infinitive form.
