L’EROI una grandezza che misura quante unità di energia da fonti primarie
si ottengono a fronte dell’investimento di una unità di energia.
EROI: Energy Return on Energy Investment. The sustainability metrics to measure how many units
of energy from primary sources are obtained when investing in one energy unit
Tanto maggiore è l’EROI tanto maggiore è il rendimento dei processi
produttivi energetici e quindi l’energia che realmente risulta disponibile
alla società.
The greater EROI, the greater the output of the energetic productive processes, therefore of the
energy that is actually available to society
Non essere a conoscenza dell’EROI di una fonte energetica non permette
di valutarne appieno la sua affidabilità e sostenibilità.
Not being aware of the EROI of an energy source does not allow to fully evaluate its affidability and
sustainability
Una civiltà in grado di prosperare anche con un basso EROI,
ovvero a bassa intesità energetica, è una civiltà resiliente.

Conservare la TERRA, la sua fertilità
e produrre localmente il cibo
