Membership includes provision of Residential Aged Care
training programs and supporting materials and resources.
AHIA is the custodian of the Australasian Health Facility
Guidelines (AusHFG) which were first released in 2007.
As a leader in health facility planning, AHIA can provide
contemporary best practice resources to jurisdictions and
service providers that is based on nationally shared
knowledge and overseas experience, hence all WA Health
facilities utilise the AusHFG in its construction of new and
upgrade of existing facilities.
Membership provides national benchmarking of clinical
rehabilitation outcomes which assists services in
determining areas for improvement in efficiency and
effectiveness of rehab inpatient service.
Membership includes discounted Registration at ANZICS
Conferences, access to ANZICS CORE data for research
opportunities, contribution to the development of Intensive
Care and access to exclusive email lists.
It is a requirement that all health services have a
membership (i.e. contract) with the Australian Council on
Healthcare Standards in order to achieve accreditation
against the National Standards to provide health care in
Australia.
Nationally recognised external evaluation program that
provides a framework to be used to ensure high quality
services are achieved.
Membership provides accreditation for Meekatharra
Hospital General Practice (GP) Clinic and resources related
to quality improvement for GP services and primary health
service delivery.
This is membership with a major training and development
organisation in WA and provides discounted cost on all AIM
programs for all WA Health staff.
The cost of the membership also provides $15,000 of
training vouchers which are used to off-set the cost
workshops and programs, making the corporate
membership cost neutral.
Institutional representative membership.
The membership offers professional development
schemes, events, networking, provides policy standards
and guidelines for the Library professional, including yearly
conferences and access to online information for Libraries,
mailing list for both general ALIA group and for ALIA Health
network.
Benchmark reports are received twice per year against
other sub-acute services within Australia and New Zealand;
and performance tracking over time and against targets.
Training and facilitation of benchmarking workings is also
offered, which assist to set and publish targets.
Membership provides access to a variety of unique
networking opportunities with peers in other children’s
health services, professional development opportunities,
access to the CHA Benchmarking program; and access to
a range of on-line resources.

CPMEC is the peak Body representing the Postgraduate
Medical Council of WA (PMCWA) other Postgraduate
Medical Councils (PMCs) nationally.
CPMEC is a not-for-profit agency which provides support
and resources for PMCs by:
 providing a forum for discussion of matters of Junior
Medical Officer education and assessment;
 representing and coordinating the view of PMCs at
meetings of national importance; and
 presenting the agreed views of PMCs, reducing the
need for inter-state travel by PMC outside WA.
Membership provides data driven insights, benchmarking
against other shared service centres in Australia and
around the world (government and non-government), library
of tools and templates, and advisory support that enables
shared services executives to improve individual, functional
and corporate performance.
CHWA provides wellness training and certification
programs for employers, insurance companies and
professionals both online, through their learning
management system, at their annual conferences and
provides certifications for Human Resources, as well as
fitness and nutrition specialists.
GS1 system enables Health Support Services Supply
Chain to purchase goods and services for WA Health via
eProcurement.
The GS1 system helps reduce supply chain costs, reduce
process time and prevent errors in ordering.
At a leadership level, Corporate Membership offers high
level partnering, networking, strategic advice and
leadership development and support.
It also provides tailored professional development to
enhance and build the capability of staff.
Membership offers potential development funds, and
professional commercialisation advice in regard to
intellectual property arising in WA Health.
Membership also includes travel assistance for the
Department of Health representative to attend meetings of
the Investment Review Committee.
MARC conducts high quality scientific research into better
mosquito control and the prevention of human
vector-borne disease through improved ecological
understanding and operational management of mosquito
control issues.
Membership allows the Department of Health access to
important research findings and high-level scientific
expertise in this field, and request specific research projects
to address Western Australian issues without having to
fund or undertake the research.
This membership is required to ensure appropriate national
representation of PathWest as a public pathology provider.

 allowing SMHS to participate in the national
Libraries Australia Document Delivery (LADD) and
Inter-Library Loans Network.
ANZNN membership is essential for any publicly funded
Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) and includes all
NICUs in Australia and New Zealand.
$9,970.00 ANZNN produces an annual report on preterm infants,
births, deaths, and clinical care, provides individual NICUs
with feedback and also collates disability outcomes such as
cognitive delay and cerebral palsy.
Membership provides access to international visiting
speakers, networks, web based resources and research for
Nursing Executives across the whole of WA Health (state$66,245.00 wide) to support improvement in care quality and safety,
managing nursing services, improving the patient
experience and enhancing nursing efficiency and
productivity.
Membership provides opportunities for health executives to
learn how to achieve Best Practice in their organisations,
and opportunities for interstate and international
collaboration and networking amongst health organisation
$408,155.00* executives. Members are provided with a wide range of
documents and presentations that identify innovations in
health care practice, including as well as comparative
information and meeting notes.
Membership provides clinical benchmarking activity and
costing benchmarks, access to networking groups,
