MIDWEST STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA AT OMAHA
MIDWEST STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM
UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA AT OMAHA
Following are the terms governing the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP). To be eligible to receive the
150% MSEP benefits, you must sign this agreement and return it to the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Office
of Undergraduate Admissions, EAB 111, Omaha, NE 68182-0286.
1. The MSEP benefit is a waiver which is applied to reduce the total nonresident undergraduate tuition
amount to the MSEP benefit which is 150% of the regular in-state tuition rate. The waiver does not apply
toward resident tuition or any student fees and cannot be used for remedial or audit courses.
2. The MSEP benefit (if renewed) may be used until you have earned a UNO bachelor’s degree. MSEP is
also applicable to Graduate programs at UNO although graduate tuition rates are different from the
Undergraduate rates. Students must be admitted to a graduate degree program and meet all academic
requirements.
3. The MSEP benefit will be cancelled if you withdraw from school or fail to register for consecutive semesters
(excluding summer), unless an exception is granted because of extenuating circumstances.
4. UNO online/distance education courses/tuition: MSEP participants will be billed at the distance education
nonresident tuition rate or 150% of the distance education resident rate, whichever is less.
5. Renewal of the MSEP benefit will be dependent upon the review of UNO cumulative grade point average
on a yearly basis and meeting the renewal criteria at the end of the spring semester each year. Student
must remain in good academic standing and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.50.
6. First-Year applicants must provide:
a. If applicant is not a recent high school graduate of an MSEP member state, then provide a copy of
the most recent state income taxes, OR
b. Copy of parent/guardian’s most recent income state taxes with proof of dependency page from
Federal income taxes.
7. Transfer students must provide:
a. A copy of the most recent state income tax return to confirm residence in an MSEP member state.
8. Must be admitted to UNO in a degree program and have provided the required credentials necessary to
determine academic qualifications for the MSEP program.
To receive the 150% MSEP benefit, this agreement must be accepted by the first day of classes for the initial entry
term at UNO.
I agree to accept the tuition benefits of the Midwest Student Exchange Program. I understand that my
tuition billing will reflect non-resident tuition charges with a waiver applied to reduce the total tuition
amount to the 150% MSEP benefit and that I will be keeping my home state as my state of residence.
