What is a plant?
A plant often is described as a living thing that makes its own food, has leaves and stems,
and is green in color. Even with the many different types of plants on Earth, this description
often holds true. Or does it?
Procedure
1. Examine the photos in the table shown
in your textbook.
2. Number from 1 to 6 in the Data and
each number write yes if you think the
photo is of a plant or no if you think
the photo is not of a plant.

1. Which photos do you think are plants? Explain your choices.
2. Visualize each object without the background and decide if you want to make changes
