RMRF
• The NRC is considering adopting a statement of
policy to establish a common RMRF that can be
applied in a coherent manner to all NRC
licensed uses of byproduct, source and special
nuclear materials.
• Commission directed staff to address parts of
NTTF Recommendation 1 in the RMRF working
group.
• Recommendation 1 is applicable to only power
reactors.

• Staff will suspend RMRF activities as they
relate to licensees other than power reactors
• A paper to the Commission will present an
RMRF approach for power reactors
• Implementation of a power reactor RMRF
• RMRF activities for the other licensees,
including RTRs, will follow (est. 2-3 years)
