SUBJECT:
CORRECTED: DETERMINATION OF ACCEPTABILITY AND SUFFICIENCY
FOR DOCKETING, PROPOSED REVIEW SCHEDULE, AND OPPORTUNITY
FOR A HEARING REGARDING THE APPLICATION FROM EXELON
GENERATION COMPANY, LLC, FOR RENEWAL OF THE OPERATING
LICENSES FOR LASALLE COUNTY STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 (TAC NOS.
MF5347 AND MF5346)
Dear Mr. Gallagher:
By letter dated December 9, 2014, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) received
the Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon) application for renewal of Facility Operating
License Nos. NPF-11 and NPF-18 for LaSalle County Station (LSCS), Units 1 and 2,
respectively. Notice of receipt of this application was published in the Federal Register on
December 18, 2014 (79 FR 75598).
By letter dated January 26, 2015, the NRC notified Exelon of the NRC staff’s determination that
Exelon’s application for license renewal is complete and acceptable for docketing in accordance
with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Sections 2.101, 54.19, 54.21, 54.22,
54.23, 51.45, and 51.53(c). Notice of the acceptance of the application and opportunity to
request a hearing and to petition for leave to intervene was published in the Federal Register on
February 3, 2015 (80 FR 5822).
The purpose of this letter is to correct two errors in the acceptance letter dated
January 26, 2015. The letter states “The schedule of work activities and milestones for
performing the [license renewal application (LRA)] review for LSCS reflects a 22-month review
schedule.” However, the schedule, as issued in Enclosure 1 to the letter dated January 26,
2015, spans 23 months, and, therefore, this sentence should read “The schedule of work
activities and milestones for performing the LRA review for LSCS reflects a 23-month review
schedule.”
The second error is the schedule provided in Enclosure 1 to the letter dated January 26, 2015,
contains incorrect dates for the publishing of the LRA acceptance and opportunity to request a
hearing FRN, and for the deadline for filing hearing requests and petitions for intervention.
Although the dates were correct when the letter was signed, publication in the Federal Register
was delayed and therefore these dates have changed. An updated schedule is provided as an

enclosure to this letter which corrects these dates and also provides the actual date for the
publication of the Federal Register notice regarding the environmental scoping meeting.
If you have any general questions on this matter or any questions related to the safety review of
the LSCS LRA, please contact Mr. Jeffrey Mitchell, Project Manager, by telephone at
301-415-3019 or by e-mail at [email protected]. If you have any questions related to
the environmental review of the LSCS LRA, please contact Mr. David Drucker by telephone at

Sincerely,
/RA/
