Regenerative Grid Simulator: 61800
Designed for PV inverter, Smart Grid and EV related test applications, the 61800 Regenerative Grid
Simulator is a full 4 quadrant, fully regenerative, programmable AC power source with advanced
features for compliance, safety and product verification testing. Power can both sink and source
from the UUT seamlessly to support a multitude of applications. In cases where the UUT sources
current, a detection circuit will sense the excess power and recycle it back to the grid. Using stateof-the-art digital control technology the 61800 can deliver up to 300VAC at output frequencies
ranging from 30Hz to 100Hz. The AC+DC feature allows for applications that require a DC offset
bias.

Chroma’s 66203 and 66204 Power Meters make accurate power measurements for various wiring modes
including three phase WYE and DELTA and split phase. These power meters feature state-of-the-art DSP
digitizing technology which replaces less accurate and slower traditional analog circuits. The internal

Safety Analyzer: 19032
The19032 performs six dielectric tests in one unit including AC/DC
Hipot, Insulation Resistance, Ground Bond, Leakage Current and
Dynamic Function tests for compliance testing of IEC, UL, TUV, CSA,
EN and other standards. The time-saving TwinPort™ feature performs
Hipot and Ground Bond simultaneously cutting time for these tests
in half. The 19032 also has an open / short check function (OSC)
that checks for an open connection or a DUT short during testing.
The analyzer’s leakage current scanners can provide up to 20A
input current capability for functional run testing as well as earth,
patient and line leakage current tests. The analyzer is equipped with
programmable limits for pass/fail testing as well as storage and recall
of 50 different test setups with 100 steps per setup.

The Guardian 19020 comes equipped with the world’s first sync hipot test function. A single
unit can perform 10 channels sync output and measurements simultaneously. Ten units in
master & slave configuration can be controlled simultaneously for 100 channels in total. They
also can be grouped for output to avoid creating voltage differences due to adjacent tests as
well as to improve productivity.
The 19572 is an instrument dedicated to measuring
grounding resistance within a range of 0.1~510mΩ.

The flexible digital display allows adjustment
to best fit the test resolution, while the test signal monitoring function is able to display the voltage
and current actually being applied to the DUT. The timing settings for trigger delay, measure delay,
and average number of times allow the measurements to work closely with automated machines
to get the most accurate results with limited testing time. The detached design of the Chroma
11050 uses a dual CPU system for processing the testing and display individually. This not only
increases testing speed but also shortens test lead lengths when used with automated machines to
improve the accuracy of high frequency measurements.

Chroma thermal/multi-function data loggers measure temperatures, voltages,
and currents with high accuracy and resolutions. For example, they support
8 types of thermal couples measurement with ITS-90 defined temperature
range at 0.3°C accuracy and 0.01°C resolution, while most data loggers in
the market are at 1°C accuracy and 0.1°C resolution. Chroma loggers provide
1000VDC channel to channel isolation, which means they can attach thermal
couples to objects with high voltage, such as batteries, solar cells, working
PCB, etc., and still get correct data. Many competitors simply malfunction, or
are even damaged in those cases. Chroma loggers use a parallel architecture
for data retrieval, while most of our competitors use a sequential multiplexing
method. This means data rate per channel is quick and constant for Chroma
loggers, while others become much slower as more channels are used.

Chroma’s Advanced TEC Controllers have an excellent temperature
monitoring engine, which allows 2 T-type thermal couple inputs. The cold
junction of the engine is internally stabilized up to 0.001°C so that 0.01°C
temperature resolution and control stability can be achieved. The TEC driver
uses a filtered PWM architecture which obtains high driving power efficiency
as ordinary PWM drivers, but smoothens the current modulation to a DC-like
output; very important for electro-magnetic sensitive measurements.
Another important feature is the true TEC PID auto tune function. Chroma’s
Advanced TEC Controllers have unique auto tune algorithm to guarantee the
best control and temperature response. Stability down to the temperature
resolution, which is 0.01°C, is regularly achieved regardless the size and
geometry of thermal platforms.
