February 18, 2016 Larry Friedman, Quality Assurance Manager Electroswitch Corporation 180 King Avenue Weymouth, MA 02188 SUBJECT: VENDOR INSPECTION OF ELECTROSWITCH CORPORATION Dear Mr. Friedman: This letter documents the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff’s plan to perform an inspection of Electroswitch Corporation to review implementation of your quality assurance program in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 50, Appendix B and 10 CFR Part 21. Specifically, the quality assurance program and Part 21 implementation, will be reviewed as they pertain to Electroswitch’s design, qualification, commercial grade dedication, and manufacturing of safety related power switches and relays to operating nuclear power plants. As discussed through conference call on February 17, 2016, the inspectors plan to arrive at the Weymouth, MA facility, on Monday, April 25, 2016, and will conduct the inspection through Friday, April 29, 2016. Subsequent to the inspection, a report will be issued and transmitted to you via letter.
