At your start-up meeting the Crime Prevention Officer will discuss each program, answer questions, and provide additional brochures for each member of your Neighborhood Watch. Police, Fire or Medical Emergencies 911 Police Non-Emergency Line (503) 588-6123 Crime Prevention Unit (503) 588-6175 Drug Activity Tips Hotline (503) 315-2566 Drug Activity Tips Online cityofsalem.net/departments/police Graffiti Reporting Line (503) 371-4264 Compliance Services (Code Issues) (503) 588-6421 Neighborhood Services (503) 588-6207 COMMON SIGNS OF A DRUG HOUSE - Frequent vehicle or foot traffic staying for brief periods of time. - Covered, painted or blacked out windows of the home to conceal activity inside. - Barred or reinforced doors and windows without apparent reason. - Chemical drums or containers in the trash or around the yard. - Glassware and/or containers normally associated with a chemistry lab. - A strong or unusual chemical odor coming from the residence. - Drug paraphernalia in the vicinity of the residence or yard. Report all suspected drug activity to the Salem Police Department.
