Dear Thapar Alumni,
Warm greetings from the Alumni Relations/Association Office of the University!
As you all may kindly be aware that Thapar University, Patiala honours a Distinguished
Alumnus every year with a shawl and a citation during the Annual Convocation of the
University. Through this mail, we invite nominations/applications for the Distinguished
Alumni Award-2014 (to be given at Thapar University convocation planned on
24th November, 2014).
The criterion for the Distinguished Alumnus Award is as under:
Criteria for Selection:
This award recognises professional accomplishments of unique nature. Recipients should
have distinguished themselves by outstanding leadership in planning and direction in their
area of work, by administration of major projects, fostering development of young
engineers, or by uniquely contributing to society. They should be dedicated to the ideals of
the profession as evidenced by their contributions to the recognition and promotion of
engineering/professional activities.
Recipients should have graduated at least 25 years ago.
