EMC CLOUDARRAY TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
EMC CLOUDARRAY TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Physical Appliances, Virtual Editions and Bulk Licenses EMC® CloudArray® extends high-performance storage arrays with cost-effective cloud capacity. By providing access to a public or private cloud tier through standard interfaces, CloudArray simplifies storage management for inactive data and offsite protection. EMC CloudArray CLOUDARRAY ARCHITECTURE Available in numerous form factors, CloudArray is built to meet the needs of all of our customers. Available in a number of virtual and physical appliance models, including bulk 3 Virtual Editions • CloudArray 3VE • CloudArray 6VE • CloudArray 12 VE 5 Physical Appliances • CloudArray 6P • CloudArray 12P • CloudArray 18P • CloudArray 40P • CloudArray 60P Bulk Licenses • 50 TB License • 100TB License • 500TB License licensing, CloudArray provides similar functionality across form factors. All versions of CloudArray are able to provide users with connections to over 20 different public and private clouds including EMC ViPR, VMware vCloud Air, Rackspace, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, EMC Atmos and Openstack. In addition to back-end support for multiple cloud providers, CloudArray easily integrates with existing applications by presenting the cloud through traditional SAN and NAS interfaces. VIRTUAL EDITION CloudArray Virtual Edition is available in three different virtual appliance models for VMware ESX or ESXi (Server v6.x or greater) and Microsoft Hyper-V (Server 2008 R2 or Server 2012). These models are distinguished by their recommended local cache size from 3TB to 12TB, but otherwise contain the same feature sets and capabilities. Unlike the CloudArray physical appliances, CloudArray VE relies on organizations’ existing SAN, NAS or DAS storage to supply the disk for the local cache. As a result, the type of disk chosen for cache directly impacts the performance and reliability of each CloudArray VE model, with RAID6 disk enabling recovery from dual disk failures and high performance disk providing greater speeds and cache performance. Additional minimum requirements: • 60 GB of disk space • 2 virtual processors assigned to CloudArray VE CloudArray Virtual Edition Specifications Host Connectivity Recommended Local Cache Size Minimum Available RAM SPECIFICATION SHEET CloudArray 3VE CloudArray 6VE CloudArray 12 VE All versions of CloudArray VE support iSCSI, NFSv3, NFSv4, CIFS/SMB/SMB2 3 TB 6 TB 12 TB 4 GB 8 GB 16 GB PHYSICAL APPLIANCES The CloudArray standalone physical appliance is available in six different sizes differentiated by the amount of usable disk cache in each model, from 6TB to 60TB. These bulk licenses give users the ability to divide their total capacity across multiple CloudArray instances and come in three sizes: Compare features, options and prices https://store.emc.com/cloudarray • 50 TB License • 100 TB License • 500 TB License Bulk licenses offer a more flexible way of consuming CloudArray and can be used across as many or as few sites as customers require. This flexibility is ideal for CONTACT US customers who are planning to use CloudArray at multiple sites or have cloud storage requirements that are inconsistent or rapidly growing.
