Areas for Potential PRA Credit for FLEX • Risk‐Informed License Amendment Requests • Mitigating Systems Performance Indicator (MSPI) • Maintenance Rule 10 CFR 50.65 • Accident Sequence Precursor (ASP) Program • Generic Issue Resolution • Rule Making – Regulatory Analysis • Significance Determination Process (SDP) • Notices of Enforcement Discretion (NOEDs) • Incident Response (MD 8.3) 1 NRC Response to White Papers • Large number of comments from NRC interested stakeholders. • Industry white papers provide a framework to streamline a number of risk‐ informed applications. • Industry white papers appropriately address a large number of issues important to NRC staff concerning RIDM. • NRC staff intends to develop application specific guidance to supplement NRC’s current implementing guidance (e.g., RASP, IMCs, etc.). Next Steps • Public workshop with industry and NRC technical experts to be held March 16, 2016. • Based on insights from the workshop, industry will revise white papers. • NRC expects to receive revised industry white papers in April 2016. • NRC will prioritize and develop application specific guidance.
