Pursuant to th e prov i s ions of Sec t i on 11 53 of the Revenue and Tax at i on Code
and Title 18, Section 202, of the California Administrative COde, the State
Board of Equalization deSignates the fol lowing representative periOdS for us e
in assessing the airc raft of the captioned carriers as of March 1, 1984 .

Scheduled Ac ti vi ty
For aircraft of a type which were controlled on 12:01 a . m. March 1,
1984 by the reporting carrier, the representative periOd for
measur i ng the schedu 1ed grouna ana fl; ght time ana the schedu 1ed
arri va 1 and departure act iv i ties shall be a consec ut i ve seven-day
periOd as reflected in th e schedules in effect at 12:00 noon on
Sunday, March 4, 1984 . The last part of the foregoing sentence i s
underli ned to emphasize that the one-week schedule to be reported is
the schedu le 1n effect ~ at the spec ifi ed time and date.

For aircraft of a type which were controlled on 12:0 1 a.m . March 1,
1984 by the reporting carrier, the representative period for
measuring the nonschedu 1ed ground and f1 i ght t ;me aM nonschedu 1ed
arrival and departure acti viti es shall be :

The twelve-month periOd from March 1,1983 through February 29,
1984, if the aircraft was first used by the reporting carrier
in revenue service on or before Ma rch 1, 1983, ana was part of
the carr ier's fleet at both the beginning and the end of the
peri od.
