Romanticism Presentation Assignment: This is your chance to make a better notes power point than Ms. Bush. Good luck! Students may work individually or in pairs to answer one of the following assigned topics. Presentation will be created in google slides and shared with Ms. Bush. You may only use the sites listed below or the school databases to work on this project. You will need to use at least three sources to complete your project. Your last slide needs to be a Works Cited Page to list all your sources in MLA format. Organize your information on your slides. Find pictures. Use bullet points if needed. Be creative, but remember that it is more important to be neat and well-organized. Be ready to present next class. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Topics: 1. Explain how the artwork of the Enlightenment/Neoclassical Age reflected the writings of the same time period. You will need to include examples of works and be able to explain why they are traditional artwork of that time period. Explain how the art connects to the texts we read by Swift. 2. Explain the artwork of the Romanticism movement. Show examples and explain how they are traditional artwork of that movement. 3. What is Romanticism? Was it a reaction to something? What qualities must Romantic literature possess? Are there popular themes? (Don’t limit yourselves to these questions. Come up with some of your own too.) 4. What poets seem to represent the Romantic period best? (You will have to know some of the qualities of the period in order to determine this!) Make sure you include interesting information on them. 5. What novelists wrote in a Romantic style? (You will have to know some of the qualities of the period in order to determine this!)
