likelihood of exposure to unwanted germs, bacteria, and
viruses.

I. SANITATION GUIDELINES
The CTMS equipment such as headsets,
microphones and touchpanel displays are shared
by many individuals and susceptible to hygienic
risks.
Simple cleaning and sanitation can help reduce
exposure to these unwanted elements.
Different components may require different cleaning products and
sanitizing procedures.

II. EQUIPMENT SANITATION
CTMS Headsets:
The CTMS Assistive Listening System (ALS) and Interpreter
Headsets should be disinfected with a sanitizing wipe prior
to use.
It is recommended that users clean or sanitize the headset
ear cushions and microphones prior to use.
Disinfectant wipes are available at the Clerk’s bench in the CTMS
courtrooms.
Court personnel are not responsible for cleaning or sanitizing headsets.

CTMS Touch-panel Displays
The CTMS Touchpanel Displays should be wiped
gently with a soft cloth prior to use.



Do not apply pressure to the monitor surface.
Do not use solvents.
Do not the rub monitors with coarse or hard material.
Court personnel are not responsible for cleaning the touchpanel displays.

CTMS Microphones:
The CTMS Microphones should be disinfected with a sanitizing
wipe prior to use.



Clean the exterior of the microphones and the gooseneck
with a disinfecting wipe.
Do not use soaking or dripping cleaning cloths.
Do not allow any liquid or fluids to seep into the microphone
as it will damage the internal circuitry.
Disinfectant wipes are available in the CTMS courtrooms.
Court personnel are not responsible for cleaning or sanitizing microphones.
