My area of specialization is Mass Media, Journalism & Translation. I also worked on the
writing of women from the period pre & post- independence. Analyising Media, Women's
issues, Language and literature from socio-cultural and historical perspective are my research
interests.

Cultural/ extra-curricular activity: Organized Three days Hindi Day Program at Turkmen
AzadyNationaI Institute of World Languages, Ashgabat, in which Indian Dance, Hindi Poem
recitation, singing and a Hindi Dance-Drama, ‘Laila-Majnoo’ was presented by foreign
students of Hindi MA studying there. This Cultural program became the precedent for
another languages and every Language Faculty had also celebrated their Language Day.
Now this Cultural function is included in annual celebration for every language faculty.
