Research Interests / Specialization
Since my area of specialization is international business, I would like to continue my research
work in the same area and explore the various dimensions and issues involved in the conduct of
international business. Some of these dimensions that I find of particular interest are foreign
investment, trade liberalization and international tax environment. The astounding economic
success of many Asian economies, particularly China, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand and
Malaysia, being largely attributed to high inflow of foreign investment, makes it interesting to
get new insights into the policies adopted by such countries to lure foreign investors. Further,
with international tax environment assuming increasing importance in the recent past, I have
been focusing my research work on tax incentives and the impact of tax policies on international
trade and investment.
