All ceremonies are held in Park Center Alumni Arena.
Undergraduate students will select their ceremony and reserve their
tickets through an online process on March 22, 2016. Detailed instructions
will be sent to the student’s SUNY Cortland email address.

9:30 a.m. Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony 1 *
11:30 a.m. Undergraduate reception for all ceremonies at Lusk Field House
2:30 p.m. Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony 2 *
7 p.m. Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony 3 *
* Tickets are required for entry. Doors open one hour prior to each ceremony and tickets will
be scanned upon arrival. Students should report to Park Center Corey Gymnasium one hour
before the start of each ceremony.

oo SPEAK WITH YOUR ADVISOR
You should meet with your advisor to verify eligibility for graduation.

oo APPLY FOR YOUR DEGREE
To graduate, you must apply for your degree regardless of participation in
the Commencement ceremony. Degree application is accomplished through
myRedDragon. Once at myRedDragon, do the following:
1. Type in ID and password
2. Select “Student” tab and go to the “Registrar” column
3. Select “Graduation and Commencement”
4. Select “Degree and Diploma Application”
Now through March 1
oo INDICATE PARTICIPATION IN COMMENCEMENT
After applying for your degree, myRedDragon will prompt you with
Commencement participation. You must indicate participation by March 1
to ensure that your name will appear in the printed program.

oo SELECT A CEREMONY AND RESERVE YOUR TICKETS ONLINE
You’ll select which ceremony to participate in and will reserve your tickets
through an online process. This information will be emailed to your Cortland
account and posted at cortland.edu/commencement.

frequently for the latest details.

oo CLEAR OUTSTANDING OBLIGATIONS/HOLDS
Clear up any outstanding obligations/holds with the College, such as library
fee, parking tickets, etc. A diploma can only be issued after all obligations
are cleared.

Note: Our mailing list is determined by completed credit hours. Undergraduate students with 85+ earned credit hours are eligible to participate in the 2016 Commencement
ceremonies as long as the degree requirements are completed by December 2015 or May, August or December 2016. Students who do not plan to graduate in 2016 should
