Muskegon County Sheriff Dean Roesler has confirmed that a combination of chemicals were released in the area of the park's wave pool which combined to make chlorine gas. The park is looking into the incident, Roesler said. At least 50 people were evaluated, some of which were individually hosed down in the Michigan's Adventure parking lot. Emergency personnel treat victims who were involved when chemicals were released in an area at the water park at Michigan's Adventure on July 11, 2014.KEN STEVENS One witness in the park said she "got a splash of chlorine" and started coughing while finding it difficult to breathe. Other witnesses reported burning lips. Multiple ambulance and fire officials responded to the scene as well as a Hazardous Material Response Team (Hazmat) just after 4 p.m. Here are a few grain bin safety tips to keep in mind when working with stored grain: • Use inspection holes or grain level markers to understand what's happening inside the bin. Use a pole from outside the bin to break up grain bridges. • Enter a grain bin only if absolutely necessary. If you must get into the bin, use a body harness secured to the outside of the bin. Have at least two people watching over you as you enter and work inside the bin. • Use hand signals to communicate, and make sure everyone you're working with knows what those signals are. • http://journalstar.com/business/agriculture/to-be-deadliest-for-grain-engulfment-in-fouryears/article_4c54cfd6-13b1-5c12-a6c1-66aff1aa2211.html • https://www.osha.gov/dep/fatcat/dep_fatcat.html Work Safe!
