20th Professional Development Mine Safety Seminar for Supervisors The Penn State Miner Training Program, in cooperation with government and industry sponsors, is hosting a seminar and a series of professional development workshops on January 20th and 21st, 2016 at the Holiday Inn Conference Center—Lehigh Valley. The objective of the seminar and the workshops is to enhance the safety management skills of supervisors. Seminar January 20, 2016 The seminar, which will be held on January 20th, is an excellent opportunity for supervisory and safety support personnel to improve their safety management skills by learning about the latest approaches for enhancing health and safety in the workplace. This year’s program is a mix of safety management topics of timely interest. Professional Development Workshops January 21, 2016 The professional development workshops, which will be held on January 21st, are an excellent opportunity for supervisors and safety support personnel to learn and apply tools and techniques to improve safety conditions, work practices, and leadership skills.
