a. Unanimous support
2. Tracdat Training Wrap-up – final schedule of sessions (S13:H3)
a. Reviewed schedule, discussed participation
3. TAP Presentations Confirmed – CRW204 March 28 3-4:30
4. Digital Assessment Project
a. Review of photos, corrections noted on several, the
committee was pleased by the participation and potential.
Concern was noted that the long-term success of the project
will rest on the use of this information to inform and trigger
changes in the areas noted as ‘bad. A follow-up report should
be developed and distributed to the campus community before
repeating the submission process in the future.
5. Course Findings/Action Summary Mar-2013 (S13:H4)
a. Individual Reports placed in Tracdat Documents folder for all
the academic areas, general education and the VP units.
Compilations of the of the number of methods/findings/actions
were distributed to all chairs and deans.
6. HLC New reviewer Comments (S13:H5-H8)
a. Concerns were raised over the question of Institutional Learning Outcomes
(ILOs) and whether the general education outcomes were being used to align
with program-level outcomes. The committee expressed interest in referring the
issue of establishing ILOs for the university, and directing all programs to
address alignment/fulfillment of ILOs through program-level assessment. DMM
will prepare a draft of the SGOC Issue Submission Form and distribute for review
by the committee.
7. LSSU Rubric for Reviewing Courses/Programs (S13:H9-11)
a. This rubric, noted on the HLC comments, will be redistributed to chairs, deans
and the general education committee
8. Next Meetings: Thursday March 28 (CRW204) and April 18.
