Recruiting for the School of CJ/FS/EMS maintains its grass-roots approach. The school was
unable last year to do much active recruiting. The school will also maintain its presence at all
admissions activities throughout the year; the School of CJ/FS/EMS is proud to so active with
Admissions. It is also of great pride that the School of CJ/FS/EMS is recognized by Admissions
as one of the leading schools in faculty availability for prospective student visits.
The School of CJ/FS/EMS also maintains a good academic reputation. All of the faculty within
the school, from Dean to the most junior faculty, have either been published or actively
present at conferences.
All college schools participate at admissions events on campus. Student groups are also used
to help recruit at campus events and in outreach programs (Dance Company).
Many faculty within the college are active in their fields and publish regularly.
The Liberal Studies Degree will assist in increasing enrollment in two ways:
1. Non-traditional students who have completed substantial credit work various fields, but
have yet to realize their goal of a degree have an opportunity to re-vision their degree goals
and use their credits to fulfill the concentration requirements to obtain a rigorous and
marketable degree.
2. Students who desire a career which requires expertise and experience in more than one
specific field have the opportunity to design a course of study and gain experience through
internship and their final project that makes them marketable within the quickly changing
global job market. (09/17/2013)

Vocational Schools in October, and
an admissions-sponsored trip to
Chicago in October. It should be
noted, however, that these
visitations and fairs do not
encompass all of the sites expected
to visit; they are simply the ones
scheduled to date.
The School of Liberal Studies was

increased marketing will occur.
