Chapter Membership Application
BYU-Idaho International Studies Society, Epsilon Zeta Chapter of Sigma Iota Rho
Membership in the EZ chapter of SIR represents a desire to learn about and become
involved in the international community, be your interests political, economic,
historical, or otherwise. There are many roles to be filled. There is much to be done.
As such there are certain requirements that must be met before one can be inducted
into the society:
As outlined in Article III, Section II of the society constitution, members must meet
the following requirements in order to gain membership in the EZ Chapter of SIR:

Be an enrolled student at BYU-Idaho.
Have completed at least one full-time semester of coursework, or, 15 credits.
Have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
If you are eligible for national membership, you do not need to apply for chapter membership.

If your application is successful, you receive an e-mail from the SIR leadership informing you of such; the
membership induction fee (currently $5) will then be deducted from your student account. Towards the end of the
second block you will be invited to attend the semesterly induction ceremony, whereby you will be officially
inducted as a chapter member into the Epsilon Zeta Chapter of the Sigma Iota Rho National Honor Society for
International Studies.
Please note: If you are eligible for national membership, you do not need to fill out this form for chapter
membership. All qualified applicants for national membership are automatically included as chapter members.
