Connecting Workday with Outlook Customize Workday settings to receive Outlook notifications of Workday inbox items. Set Up Instructions: Step 1: Click on the employee picture in the upper right-hand corner of the Workday home page Step 2: Select “My Account” Step 3: Select “Change Preferences” Step 4: Scroll to the section titled “Alerts” Step 5: Change preferences to: Time Off: Daily Digest (Receive a daily notification of time off requests awaiting approval) Step 6: Scroll to the section titled “Business Processes” Step 5: Change preferences for the following: Tasks: Immediate (An e-mail is sent immediately when there is a task needing attention) To-Do’s: Immediate (An e-mail is sent immediately when there is an action item needing attention) Approvals: Immediate (An e-mail is sent immediately when approval is needed) Custom Business Process Notifications: Immediate (An e-mail is sent immediately when there is an action item needing attention) Note: The immediate setting is recommended for Tasks and To Do’s, as there may be multiple levels of approval through line management.
