JUN SHIBATA LIVING WITH A PLACE MONDAY, OCTOBER 29 6PM CENTRE SPACE, JOHN A. RUSSELL BUILDING FACULTY OF ARCHITECTURE, UNIVERSITY OF MANITOBA BIOGRAPHY Jun Shibata was born in Japan. In 2004, he received an Environmental Design Degree from the University of Manitoba and in 2006, a Diploma in Architecture from the Bartlett School, UK. Since joining KKAA, Kengo Kuma and Associates, in 2006, Jun has worked on projects in various cities and countries, including Japan, France, China, United States, Italy and Indonesia. From 2008 to 2009, Jun worked with Kengo Kuma and Associate, Paris, France. Currently he is project manager of Kengo Kuma and Associates in Japan. LECTURE Jun Shibata’s lecture “Living With a Place” will introduce various projects with the observation of each place. It will explore the relationship between the place and the projects.
