Mobile Outreach Practicum: The Mobile Outreach Practicum is an experiential learning opportunity as an alternative to traditional screener recertification
courses. Please contact the TAC with any questions.

Re-certification Training Registration Guidelines
To decrease the number of “no-shows,” screeners are limited to three (3) courses per season.
1. Click on the course title provided on page one of this flyer. Check the information on the page to confirm you are
registering for the correct training.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the “Register/Sign In Now” button that brings you to “Your Account”
page.
3. If you already have an account with Rutgers University’s Online Registration System, you can login by going to

“Already have an account?” section and type in your username and password. If you do not remember your
username, click on “Forgot Username” and type in your email address to receive an email with the information. If
you don’t remember your password, click on “Forgot Password” and type in your email address and user name to
receive an email with a link you will need to click on to change your password.
If you do not have an account, please go to the “New Students” section and create one by clicking on the “Create
Account” button. Once on the “Registrant Profile” page, fill in all items that have a red asterisk, as well as
“Affiliated Company/Employer” information. TAC requests that the agency name, address, phone number and
mobile phone number are provided so that you can be reached should the training need to be cancelled,
rescheduled or relocated for any reason. Please make sure your email address is correct and do not remove the
checkmark next to “Email” on this page, as this is how you will receive notification of confirmation or waitlist status
once the registration is completed.
At the bottom of the “Registrant Profile” page, please create your username and password. Remember to write both
down for safekeeping since the TAC will not be able to retrieve your password if forgotten. You will use this
username and password for all future trainings.
Only certified screeners or screeners seeking to reinstate their certification are eligible to register for these courses.
The screener registering for the course(s) must enter a code where it says, “Please enter the required approval code
to add this to your cart.” That code was provided to the screening coordinators, for you to obtain in order to
successfully complete the registration process. Once that code has been entered, hit the “Submit” button and from
there you can continue with completing the registration process. This code is not to be shared with anyone other
than certified screeners or screeners wishing to reinstate their certification.
Please print the confirmation email that you will receive and bring it with you to the class.
Please note: If you have difficulty registering, please use either Internet Explorer or Safari. The registration software occasionally
has conflicts with Firefox and Chrome and if registering via mobile device, click on “Full Version” to access the registration page. It
may help to print out or have available the name of the course that interests you so that you can easily use the web site’s search
functions.

From the South






Take the New Jersey Turnpike (Exit 10) or Garden State Parkway North (Exit 127) to Route 287 N.
Take Route 287 North to Exit # 8 - Possumtown Road/Highland Park/Middlesex.
Bear RIGHT at the end to the exit ramp onto Possumtown Road.
Then turn RIGHT at the next traffic light onto Centennial Avenue
Make a RIGHT at the THIRD traffic light on Centennial Avenue. You will see a sign for Embassy Suites. The building you pass
before the light on your right side is 151 Centennial Avenue.
Go to the STOP sign, make a RIGHT. The building to your right is 151 Centennial Avenue. It is a white, one-story building. Park at
the far end of the lot. Enter the front doors and follow the signs to the training room.
From the North:


Take the New Jersey Turnpike or the Garden State Parkway South to Route 287 North.
Take 287 North to Exit # 8 - Possumtown Road/ Highland Park/Middlesex. Follow directions for From the South above.
From the East:








Take Route 18 North through New Brunswick and follow signs on the Lynch Bridge to continue on Rt.18
After crossing the Lynch Bridge, take the exit for “River Road, Piscataway, Highland Park.”
At the end of the ramp, turn right onto River Road.
In about 3 miles, you will pass a Quick Check, River Road Tavern and a Gulf Gas station located at the traffic light at the
intersection of River Road and Plainfield Avenue.
Shortly after this light and before the next traffic light, bear RIGHT onto Centennial Avenue.
Get in the left lane and make a left at the FIRST traffic light. You will also see a sign for Embassy Suites.
Go to the STOP sign, make a RIGHT. The building to your right is 151 Centennial Avenue. It is a white, one-story building. Park at
the far end of the lot. Enter the front doors and follow the signs to the training room.
From the West:




Take Route 78 East to Exit 29 for Route 287 South.
From Route 287 South, take Exit 9 and turn right onto River Road.
Stay in the far right lane and take the jug handle to the traffic light. (You cannot turn left onto Centennial Avenue directly from River
Road.) Once at the light you will be facing Centennial Avenue.
After going straight through the light, get immediately in the left lane and make a left at the FIRST traffic light. You will see a sign for
Embassy Suites. At the STOP sign, make a RIGHT. The building to your right is 151 Centennial Avenue.

From I-287 OR I-78/22 (New Brunswick or the Shore Area)




Take Route 78 West to Exit 17 (Route 31 North).
Follow Route 31 North to its intersection with Route 57 in Washington, NJ.
Turn left onto Route 57 West and travel approximately 2.5 miles.
The College is located on the left.
From Route 295 (Trenton and Southern New Jersey)





Take Route 295 North, which will become Route 95 South. Take Exit 3 (Route 31) and follow the signs for Route 31
North/Pennington. Travel around the traffic circle and exit onto Route 31 North. Continue on Route 31 for approximately ten
miles and take the exit for Route 202/31 North.
Continue until you reach the Flemington traffic circle. Travel around the circle and exit at Route 31 North. Follow Route 31 North
past Hunterdon Medical Center and continue for another 20 miles.
When you reach the Route 78 exits, follow the signs to continue on Route 31 North.
Travel on Route 31 North to the light at Route 57 in Washington. Make a left onto Route 57.
Travel through the Washington business district. Continue straight through the light at Brass Castle Road. You will pass a
ShopRite on your right and then a luncheonette on your right. You will pass the College on your left. Take the left turn after the
College (there is a turn lane) and bear left up the driveway.
From I-80 (Points North or Northwest)



Take Route 46 to Hackettstown. Follow signs to Route 57 West, toward Washington.
Continue on Route 57 West, approximately 2.5 miles beyond its intersection with Route 31 in Washington.
The College is located on the left.

Take Route 80 to Route 15 North
Take 15 North to intersection of Route 206 & Route 565 (Ross’ Corner)
Take Route 206 North (straight through intersection)
Follow Route 206 to Route 519, left on Route 519 South until the intersection with Route 655
Make a right turn on Route 655 (Morris Turnpike) and Fire Academy is approximately 10 miles on the left

Bear Right onto Elcock Road

From the North:






Take Route 287 South.
Take exit 45 for Myrtle Ave toward Boonton
Turn left at Myrtle Avenue
After 8/10ths of a mile, take the 2nd right onto Main Street
After about 1.1 miles, take sharp right at Co 618/Powerville Rd.
The hospital will be on the right hand side just after a small shopping center.
From the West:







Take Route 80 East to Exit 38 (Route 46 East).
After about a mile, move into the left hand lane.
Turn left onto Boulevard (Route 618)
After about 2 miles, Boulevard becomes Elcock.
Shortly after the transition to Elcock, you will come to a “Y” in the road.
Bear left at the “Y” onto Powerville Road
St. Clare’s Hospital is on your right just after the small shopping center.

After Ark Road, go through the first traffic light at Fostertown-Masonville Road, stay in right lane
Before the light at Hainesport-Mt. Laurel Road, take the jug handle and get to the other side of Rt. 38 West
Pass Wawa on your right, and make a right into the Center driveway

Continue on Berlin-Cross Keys Rd. (approximately 1.5 miles)

Take I-295 North to Exit 34A (Rt. 70 East
