May 3, 2007 To Stakeholders,
May 3, 2007 Following is the email sent to stakeholders by the EUB on May 2, 2007 To Stakeholders, As you are aware the role of the EUB in settlement is in transition. The new role for the EUB will be to establish and administer rule making processes, evaluate rule change requests, undertake rule change consultation with stakeholders, approve rule changes when they are determined appropriate and undertake such rule changes that enable effective and efficient standardization of rules between the Settlement System Code (SCC) and Tariff Billing Code (TBC) and across commodities where there are efficiencies to be achieved. During the transition the EUB is working closely with the AESO (who still have the mandated responsibility for settlement) to move forward a number of recommendations that were contained in the Settlement Zone Accuracy Working Group (SZAWG) report. The AESO has developed two discussion papers (attached) for market participants to review and comment upon. The EUB will be leading and directing the consultation process. If there is someone else in your organization who should be attending in your place, please forward this email to them The EUB will be hosting a meeting on in Calgary May 16th from 10 am to noon in the 2nd floor video conferencing room (640 5th Ave SW) to discuss the papers (the Edmonton video conferencing room will also be available). Please RSVP to me, who will be attending from your organization. I will then send out a meeting invite to those individuals. In the interim please direct any questions with regard to the papers either to myself or Chris Connoly ([email protected]).
