CSI CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATORS

involved in evidence gathering. You’ll get the opportunity to analyze
and practice detective work by using investigative techniques and
scientific methods which will allow you to solve mysteries behind

from the cookie jar or how many licks it takes to get to the center of
a Tootsie Pop. Learn clever ways of performing investigative tasks
as you have a hands-on view of the science that detectives use
every day to solve mysteries.

crazy rollercoasters and other amusement park rides? Join us and

catchers, ball machines, Ferris wheels, swinging amusement rides
and more. This is the way to experiment and build as you learn

era when dinosaurs still roamed Earth. You will explore dinosaurs
big and small, fast and slow, ferocious or calm and dinosaurs

teeth to catch prey and discover the paleontologist inside you. You
will no doubt “dig” this camp.

where you will enjoy performing experiments and making

energy. We’ll talk about how to prevent bullying and role play to
better equip ourselves with the self-confidence and courage it takes

more fun to transform items headed for the dumpster into amazing
and usable items! Cereal boxes become personalized one-ofa-kind journals, broken crayons and baby food jars become
colorful rainbow candles or a perfect place to store your jewelry.
Make decorative paper bowls and plates from junk mail and old
magazines. Turn your glass jars into beautiful stained glass vases
to hold your treasure. Spend the week creating one-of-a-kind art
projects made from recyclable, reusable household materials and/
or items found in nature. Please bring empty cereal boxes, a clean/
dry glass jar with the label removed, and a clean glass baby food
jar to camp.
PIRATES OF THE HIGH SEAS CAMP

Avast, me hearties and listen up, landlubbers, it is time to shiver
ye timbers, buckle your swashes and set sail to frolic in the briny
deep. Buccaneers, we’ll walk the plank to plunder together to find

decorate an eye patch, try your hand (or hook) at sand art, speak
fluent pirate, possibly learn to survive a desert island shipwreck and
practice knot-craft so you can lash down your treasure. Friday you

MADE EASY
Registration is complete when payment and course registration are received
by Coastal Carolina University. Payment is required to reserve any space or
for a camp. Camp sizes are limited; early registration is advised.
SNACKS: Students are encouraged to bring a snack and drink from
home daily for each camp they are attending. Vending machines are
available on site.
BY MAIL: Select the camps you want to attend and mail the completed
registration form with payment to Coastal Carolina University, Office of
Executive Development and Continuing Education, 900 79th Ave. N.,
Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
LATE PICKUP FEE: A late charge of $5 will be applied for each five
(5) minutes after 5 p.m. This charge is due upon arrival.
IN PERSON: Stop by the Myrtle Beach Education Center at 900
79th Ave. N. in Myrtle Beach, with registration information and payment.
On-site registration is accepted Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
CHECK IN: To expedite the weekly check-in process the first day of
camp, please visit our website at coastal.edu/outreach and complete
all necessary forms prior to check in, and be sure to bring them with you.
BY TELEPHONE: Call 843-349-2767, 843-349-2025 or 843-349-6584
Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. with credit card
information.
FEES: Half-day camps are $75. Full-day camps are $150 per class.
SERVICE FEE: A service fee of 2.7 percent will be applied by official
payment on all debit and credit card payments when payment is received
over the phone, online or via mail. No service fee applies if paid in person.
REFUNDS: Refunds will be made if withdrawal from a class is
received in writing at least three working days prior to the start of the
class. Failure to attend a class without notification or cancellation will
not entitle a refund. In the event that a camp is canceled by the Office
of Executive Development and Continuing Education, a full refund will
be made to the participants. Refunds take approximately two weeks to
process.
LUNCH: If a child is registered for both morning and afternoon camps, he/she
needs to bring a bag lunch and drink. Adult supervision is provided during the
lunch period.
