ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
Prof. M. N. Navale has established Sinhgad
Technical Education Society (STES) in the year
1993 with the aim of imparting quality education
in the field of Engineering, Management,
Computer, Pharmacy, Medical Education,
Physiotherapy, Nursing, Architecture, Hotel
Management and basic school education. At
present, Sinhgad Technical Education Society
spreads over 13 Campuses, having 110 Institutes.
STES's Sinhgad College of Engineering has
become synonymous with quality engineering
education. Sinhgad College of Engineering
(SCOE) was established in the year 1996 – 1997
offering 4 years degree courses in Computer, E &
TC, IT, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil,
Biotechnology and Production Engineering.
Almost all the above courses are approved by All
India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
Almost all are accredited by National Board of
Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi and affiliated to
Savitribai Phule Pune University. SCOE has
Research Center to pursue Ph.D. in various
engineering disciplines.
The main objectives of this SDP is to provide the
platform to the researchers from academia,
industrial personnel and R & D organizations.
This event will enhance the research in the area of
Neural Network, Fuzzy Logic, Genetic
Algorithm and its applications in Control System,
Image Processing, Audio Watermarking,
Automated Design etc.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
E & TC department of SCOE has one
undergraduate course and four post graduate
programs. It is accredited by NBA for 5 years in
year 2007-08. Department has one PG course in
the field of Electronics with Digital Systems
specialization. Other three PG courses are in the
field E & TC with Communication Network,
Signal Processing and VLSI & Embedded
Systems as specialization. Now, department has
started research center in Electronics and
Telecommunication Engineering. Liaison with
prominent industries such as Actel Inc. (USA),
KPIT, PSPL, Infosys, Texas Instruments, Intel,
Nicrome etc., has enabled the department to keep
pace with technology.
