Costa Rica Winter Break Geography & Planning/ Global Studies Costa Rica Winter Break Program Objectives Program Costs & Financial Aid This program is dedicated to providing all students interested in Geography, Travel and Tourism, Global Studies, Spanish, History, Cultural, and Wildlife Biology the opportunity to study in Costa Rica. This “novel experience” will emerge students into a safe, yet culturally and biologically rich location. Students pay a program fee set in accordance with prevailing on-campus costs and the value of the dollar in the host country. what’s included: Program Overview • Round trip transportation • In-country travel • Living accommodations: Hotels • Excursions • Three meals per day Tuition will be added to the program cost on your SCSU e-services bill. Excursions include hiking up an inactive volcano cone, walking in the canopy of a tropical rainforest on a hanging bridge, boating across a large wetland complex, soaking in volcanic hot springs, snorkeling in the warm Pacific Ocean, a night tour of the rainforest, a cultural tour of downtown San Jose, and much more! *Note: This program requires registration with EF Tours. See SCSU Education Abroad for more details. Cancellation Policy: Students who withdraw or cancel from a program may be charged the full cost of program after the application deadline. An additional fee of $250 will be assessed and added to the student’s account for cancelling within 60 days of departure. Withdrawal from the program must be done in writing or by email with the program manager in the Education Abroad office. Airline tickets are purchased shortly after the application deadline, therefore if you cancel you may be responsible for the full cost of the airline ticket after the deadline.
