Happy December Jaguars!
It is a wonderful time to give thanks for the many blessings in our lives. I am certainly
thankful for the many blessings in my life, including working with the amazing children,
parents, teachers, and staff at Murrieta Elementary School .
As we approach the winter break, it’s the perfect time to recognize the great citizens we
have at MES. Here at school, through our Positive Behavior System (PBS), we have been
focusing on the Six Pillars of Character in all our classrooms. Students have been recognized for the exemplar way in which they demonstrate the traits by receiving red tickets.
Those tickets are then used in a drawing each month to have lunch with the Principal and
Assistant Principal. At home, you can celebrate with your own family on how well your
child has been using each of the character traits in his/her home life. Praise your child
when you see a character trait being used. “A word of praise is a ‘verbal trophy’ for a
child.” Your kind words of praise and encouragement will go a long way with your child.
Have fun in praising the growth and progress your Jaguar has made in becoming TRRFCC!
