Short Profile:
Alakananda Sen began her career in the corporate sector in the officer cadre, and then, at
the middle management level. Her long and varied experience in corporate
communications has facilitated her teaching of Communicative and Business English.
From July 2004, she has been faculty at many professional and academic institutions. She
has taught standard and advanced levels at the British Institutes, the English Edge Course
at the British Council and Functional English at RCC Institute of Technology. She has
also trained management students in the Infosys Soft Skills Course, one of the premier
programmes of Communicative English. She was a member of the faculty at Jogamaya
Devi College and Deshbandhu College for Girls, Kolkata, and is currently associated
with Calcutta International School. She has participated in various English Language
Training workshops in Kolkata. Her other interests are music and travelling.
