start your career exploration process.

Schedule an appointment with one of our Career Advisors to assist you with the following:
1) conduct an effective job search

3) learn how to prepare a resume
4) practice interviewing with a mock interview

Throughout the academic year, employers interested in hiring Madison College students and
alumni visit the Truax and regional campuses. Madison College also offers a number of
career/job fairs throughout the school year.

Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
Through the WorkSmart Network, supported by the Workforce Development Board of South
Central Wisconsin, students qualifying for the Workforce Investment Act may be eligible for
career exploration and planning services, advising on College resources and services,
employment advising, and assistance with supportive (childcare, transportation) and training
services (tuition, books, materials) while participating in long-term training.
Non-Traditional Occupations
Tools for Tomorrow provides career exploration and retention services to ensure women and
men students in nontraditional programs of study are connected to resources to assist in their
professional development, linkages to industry, graduation and employment success.
