Import license for
fertilizer products
On 15 October 2014, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) issued
Circular 35/2014/TT-BCT (Circular 35) guiding automatic import licenses
for some fertilizer products.
Based on Circular 35, for each shipment, companies will, in future, need an
automatic import license to import the stipulated fertilizer products.
Circular 35 has the following key contents:
•
The regulations on automatic import licenses are applied to urea and
NPK fertilizers.
•
The importer will need to send an application dossier to MoIT.
•
MoIT will issue an automatic import license within 7 working days from
the date of receiving a complete dossier. Automatic import licenses will
be valid for 30 days.
•
When carrying out customs procedures, importers must submit the
automatic import license with the import customs dossier to the customs
authority.
This Circular will be effective from 01 December 2014.
