Reading Night, Thur sday, October 22, 2015 fr om 6:15– 8:00 pm. Pizza will be served from 6:15—
6:30. Afterward we will have a representative from White Oak Public Library speak about resources that
are available at the library and ways we can get our kids reading. From 7:00—8:00 parents will be able
to participate with their child in some interactive reading and vocabulary strategies. There will be a free
raffle, giveaways and more! Don’t miss out!
Parent Teacher Conferences are Coming Up! - November 11 &12, 2015 Don’t miss the opportunity to meet with
your child’s teacher and learn about his or her progress. Students will be released at 1:20 on both days and teachers
will be available for conferences by appointment only. If you have not scheduled your conference yet contact your
child’s teacher to set up a date and time. Translation is available so be sure to let the teacher know if you would like
this service.
Reminder! Holiday Giving Project Forms are due By October 23,2015 - For ms should be r etur ned to
Mrs. Sklias, School Counselor. Please note that given the limited resources, there is no guarantee that every
family will be served by this project
Girls on the Run - Come out and support our CRESTHAVEN GOTR TEAM when we run the GOTR 5K
on Sunday November 15th!!! We would love to have a HUGE cheering section!!! Also if you want to run
and/or walk with us that would be FABULOUS TOO!!! Buddy runners are needed and registration has just
opened!!! Buddy runners will receive a “BUDDY” t-shirt as part of their registration fee, as well as post5k snacks. Online registration ends at noon on Friday, November 13th, and you will be able to register at
packet pick-up on Saturday, November 14th. There will be NO REGISTRATION on race-day morning!
The cost for participating in the 5K is $30 until November 6th at midnight. After that time the price increases to $35.

Fall Food Drive - We are collecting donations of non-perishable food items to be donated to support
local food pantries. We will be accepting donations through Friday, November 13, 2015. Join us in
helping our neighbors!

by October 21, for delivery November 6,2015.
Free Movie Night - Featuring Pixar’s Upside Down (rated PG). Join us for the first PTA sponsored event
on Friday October 23, 2015 at 6:30 at Roscoe Nix Elementary School. Bring your sleeping bag and come eat
popcorn and visit with friends and neighbors!
