African Wealth Report and PwC are proud to announce the Private Wealth Management in Africa Forum. Wealth management is
evolving rapidly in Africa. Maximising profitability and growth is the clear goal of institutions tasked with managing this wealth.
Africa is producing more wealthy individuals and families in recent times as a result of economic boom seen recently in oil and gas
sector as well as other non oil sectors. The need for strategic wealth preservation and the management is therefore expedient due to
complexities associated with managing such wealth in a conventional structure. Family wealth would require expert services to manage
vital aspects of the wealth through family office setup, creating proper tax regimes as well as estate planning.

Theme: Banking Africa’s Wealthy and Family Offices
Wealth management in Africa is evolving and shaping the frontier’s economic sphere. Maximising profitability and growth is
the clear goal of institutions tasked with managing this wealth. Africa is producing more wealthy individuals and families in
recent times as a result of economic boom seen recently in the oil and gas sector as well as the non oil sectors. The need for
strategic wealth preservation and management is therefore expedient due to the complexities associated with managing such
wealth in a conventional structure. Family wealth would require expert services to manage vital aspects of the wealth through
family office setup, creating proper tax regimes as well as estate planning.
PWMA is a one day forum exclusively designed to inform of the growing trend in wealth accumulation, conservation and
growth. It is also a forum for wealth managers and family offices to understand the new strategies in market landscape trends,
client trends, and business economics trends.
The forum is tailored to the needs of portfolio/asset managers, wealth managers, investment advisors, private bankers and
financial consultants, and provides an exposition of leading-edge strategies, best practice, tools and techniques for wealth
management. The key challenges confronting portfolio managers and financial advisors are reviewed under the guidance of a
faculty made up of academics and practitioners from leading Swiss banks and academic institutions.
Objectives: To update participants about the latest trends and dynamics in private wealth management and the private
banking industry through interaction with wealth management experts from Geneva, Switzerland, the world centre for private
banking excellence. Participants will acquire value-adding expertise and a practical framework of understanding. The seminar
will enable them to achieve optimal operational performance and to take responsibility for managing their future professional
development.
