Let the money you spend work for Rock Creek Forest.
RCFES participates in programs offered by grocery stores and other retail businesses to earn money for the school based
on purchases made. The percentages of money earned from purchases vary with the program and retailer but, on
average, range from .5% to 5%. Clip labels, turn in receipts, designate Rock Creek Forest ES, do your normal shopping
and earn money for RCFES at the same time. It’s almost like “money for nothing”. Alumni, friends, neighbors and family
members can participate. Program details are listed below. Contact Christine King, [email protected] with questions
or for assistance. This is a great way to give to our school without spending an extra dime!
Box Tops for Education: The “Box Tops for Education” and “Labels for Education” found on many food products can be
clipped to raise funds for the school. On average, the box tops are valued at $.10 each. Please seal the
box tops in plastic bags and leave them in the box marked “Money for Nothin” just outside of the school
office. The program runs all year and collections are due in October and February.
Chevy Chase Supermarket & Snider’s Market: These markets donate 1% of all purchases in their
stores to RCFES. Deposit your receipts in the “Money for Nothin’” box outside the
school office. The programs run continuously through the calendar year.
Giant: Giant donates a percentage of all purchases when using the Giant Bonus card in their stores. Designate RCFES
#00653 at www.giantfood.com/aplus or 1-877-366-2668. Yearly registration is required and the
program runs from October-April. Sign up starts in September.
Safeway: Safeway donates up to 3% of purchases when using the Safeway Club Card in the store. Designate RCFES
#6671027 at www.escrip.com or 1-800-801-4973. Yearly registration/renewal is required and the
program runs from October-May. Sign up starts in September.
Onecause.com: Hundreds of popular online retailers donate varying percentages of your
purchase to RCFES when you sign in and link to the retailer through www.onecause.com.
Sign up and designate Rock Creek Forest Elementary School. This program runs
continuously through the calendar year.
Target: Donations total 1% of your purchases at Target and Target.com with your Target REDcard and 1/2% of Target
Visa Credit Card purchases. Just visit target.com/tcoe, your local Target store or call 1-800-316-6142 to
designate RCFES #58181. This program runs continuously through the calendar year.
