LEADERSHIP
Vision: Parents, staff and the community will teach students to
believe in themselves by communicating high expectations while
providing a safe and positive learning environment. Students will
have opportunities for critical thinking, problem-solving and
inquiry to learn more about the world around them through diverse
learning experiences.
Mission: Be positive, work hard and do your best.
*The vision and mission statement will be communicated at staff
meetings, team meetings, staff development trainings,
parent/teacher conferences, PTA meetings, school newsletters,
teacher newsletters and Back-to-School Night. Data chats and
quarterly reviews will be used to monitor progress.

STRATEGIC PLANNING
To increase by 3% the African American, Hispanic, FARMS,
LEP and Special Education students’ performance as measured
by MAP-P and mCLASS through improving the experience of
daily classroom instruction for all students within differentiated
small groups.
PROCESS MANAGEMENT
Leadership Team will:
 Meet quarters one, two & three to discuss our school’s
progress and to make adjustments to school-wide action
plans.
 Plan staff development based on school improvement
plan and staff needs.
Grade Level Teams will:
 Create team action plans.
 Meet weekly for team planning with Core Team member
participation.
 Meet to discuss, prioritize and problem-solve student
achievement needs.
Parents & Community will:
 Support our school-wide efforts to improve reading by
providing supplementary reading materials and facilitate
the Scholastic book fair.
 Lead Junior Great Books groups for selected students in
grade one.
 Provide additional reading support for kindergarten and
grade 2 struggling readers.
