Students will focus on elaboration using details that expand and enrich their reading experience. In math we will start with multiplication. Students will learn many different strategies to solve multiplication equations and word problems. This will begin by multiplying 2-digit by 1-digit numbers. Students will be able to multiply up to 4-digit numbers by 1digit numbers. Science and Social Studies In social studies we will begin to identify economic goods and wants. In science we will determine how the environment impacts an ecosystem. Students will examine first-hand how this will happen with their own ecosystem. Writing Students will develop a character sketch that they will hopefully try to perform. This sketch will focus on character development and character traits by showing more than telling. Later in the month students will start organizing their thoughts for a business proposal. Parent Conferences Parent conferences are scheduled for Monday, November 11th and Tuesday, November 12th.
