Winning in Japan
Driving profitable growth in Japan Market
Introduction
PricewaterhouseCoopers Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce our 2nd annual insurance seminar,
“Winning in Japan – What Insures need to do in Japan market to drive profitable growth” to be
held in September.
While a lot of focus for Japanese insurers is on globalization, they also need to focus on growing
and managing their Japan business. In a market where population is shrinking and GDP has
been stagnant, growth for any company will come at the expense of loss of market share of
others. To win in Japan, insurers need to:
• Seek out growth through innovation
• Build an efficient and agile operating platform and reduce cost structure
• Build a sustainable talent strategy
PwC has been delivering numerous of market growth strategy, operational excellence and talent
strategy projects domestically and internationally, and has experience working with leading
insurers and financial institutions. This seminar is designed to share PwC’s practical, experience
based insights and ideas with Corporate Planning, Sales and Marketing, Operations and
Customer Services, Systems and Human Resources Departments at insurers operating in Japan.
