OVERVIEW:
Sixth graders at each middle school in MCPS
participate in a three-day, two-night residential
outdoor environmental education program.
While in residence, students study various
aspects of the local environment as they
participate in outdoor investigations that are
directly connected to the grade six curriculum
and the MSDE environmental education
standards. Students are accompanied by their teachers, who, in collaboration with an OEEP
staff member, provide instruction and supervision during their stay.

 Student Fee: $80
 Financial assistance available
AMENITIES:
 Students stay in gender-specific cabins.
 Three meals provided daily with accommodations for any dietary restrictions.

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL:
Alumnos de sexto grado en cada escuela
intermedia en MCPS participan en un programa
de educación al aire libre de tres días y dos
noches. A través de su estadía, los alumnos
estudian diversos aspectos del entorno local al
participar en investigaciones al aire libre que
están conectadas directamente al currículo del
sexto grado y a los estándares de educación
ambiental del estado de Maryland. Los estudiantes son acompañados por sus profesores,
quienes proporcionan instrucción y supervisión durante su estadía.

 Cada estudiante: $80
 Asistencia financiera está disponible
RESIDENCIA:
 Los estudiantes se alojan en cabañas, los niños en ciertas cabañas y las niñas en otras.
 Se les sirve desayuno, almuerzo, cena, y una merienda cada día, con opciones para las
restricciones dietéticas.
