Steps to Completing Exit Counseling
1. Go to www.kaskaskia.edu
2. Scroll mouse over “Current Students” (located in the blue)
3. Click on “Financial Aid”
4. Scroll mouse over “Types of Aid” (located on the left side of page)
5. Click on “Student Loans”
6. Scroll down to Step 3
7. Click on “Click here for Seminar” (located under a.)
8. Click on “Start Prezi”
9. Use the spacebar on the keyboard to go thru each slide
10. After completing the power point, click on “Go to Quiz” (located at the top right of
screen)
11. Complete the Quiz
a. Enter your email address and phone number in the blank comment box at the
end
b. Click “Finish”
c. Then click “Check Answers”
d. Type your name and KC ID in the box at the very bottom and then click “Email
Score”
e. You must get at least 8 out of 10 (if you did not, then you will have to go through
the power point again and retake the quiz)
f. Close out of the screen saying “Your score has been sent!” (this should take you
back to the Student Loan homepage
12. Click on “https://studentloans.gov/myDirectLoan/index.action” (located under step 3
under letter b.)
a. Here you will exit your loan from Kaskaskia College through the Department of
Education
Once each of these steps have been completed, your Exit Counseling hold will be removed
within 1-5 business days.
