Getting Started with Grains ROGERS FARMSTEAD 934 Rowell Hill Road, Berlin, Vermont Nathan and Jessie Rogers Tuesday, June 21, 2016, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. After several years looking for a farm, Nathan and Jessie Rogers established their family farm in Dog River Valley during 2012. Using sustainable and organic agriculture practices, they are improving the health of the land and the infrastructure as the farm grows. The University of Vermont Extension Northwest Crops and Soils Program (NWCS) in collaboration with Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont (NOFA-VT) and Northern Grain Growers Association (NGGA) welcome you to join us for this onfarm field day as Nate and Jessie discuss starting a farm business, sourcing equipment, and small grain production and processing. You will also receive up-to-date research information from Heather Darby and the Northwest Crops and Soils Program. The field day is a Free Event and snacks will be provided by the NOFA-VT Pizza oven showcasing local grains/wheat. Donations for pizza oven are welcome. Please pre-register by June 17th.
