Risk management, information management, information flow 2. Developing strong planning, SOP, resource mobilization, policy planning 3. Coordination with government and private sector, humanitarian assistance, community and people 4. Resilience of telecommunication network and infrastructure, deployment of ICT in disaster management 12 DRR, Bangkok, Thailand, 15 December 2015 Outcomes of the 39th Session of the Management Committee of the APT 13 MC-39 • MC agreed to hold a 7th WDMC in 2016 • Venue has yet TBC • Currently planning to hold in 2nd Quarter 2016 (April) 14 DRR, Bangkok, Thailand, 15 December 2015 MC-39 • Some of the topics the WDMC-7 will cover include: i. disaster management strategies and action plans by country; ii. specific disasters types, e.g. flood, typhoon, earthquake, and best practice in the use of ICT for disaster management; iii. cooperation between governments in disaster management; iv. the role of the APT and other international organizations in disaster management; and v. cost effective and sustainable use of ICT for disaster management. 15 DRR, Bangkok, Thailand, 15 December 2015 For further information please visit http://www.apt.int 16
