Summer 2015: MATH 271 Z1: Advanced Engineering Mathematics

MATH 271 covers differential equations and linear algebra. This course covers linear ordinary
differential equations, Laplace transforms, matric theory, and systems of equations.
MATH 121, “Calculus III,” is a pre-requisite of this course. Credit not given for both MATH 230
and MATH 271. (Mathematics majors are required to take MATH 230.)

Final grade for the class is based upon:
Quiz Average: 75%, two dropped, and
Final Examination: 25%.
FINAL EXAMINATION will be cumulative.
Make-up quizzes are not given. It is in your best interest to take every quiz, the mid-term,
and the final examination. If you miss any of these, you earn a 0% for it.
No make-up evaluations are given.
Homework!
You are expected to actively participate in this course. Perfect attendance may help your final average in
the class. Less than perfect attendance will not help your final grade. Comprenez-vous?
