Technical Standards Committee Consists of technical experts from universities, engineering departments of government of Bangladesh & IDCOL. Determines technical standards, reviews product credentials of dealers, & approves the eligible equipment. Operations Committee Consists of program-in-charges from all POs and representatives from IDCOL POs.ppt 12/16/2013 IDCOL has 12 regional offices across the country to inspect & monitor SHS installations by various Pos Each regional office consists of a regional supervisor and 10-12 inspectors Each inspector inspects around 300 systems every month Any discrepancy identified on SHS units are updated into the database Follow up with the POs is carried out on minor defects found in SHS 12/16/2013 Training of Trainers is provided by IDCOL to POs staff & IDCOL inspectors POs train their technicians & customers Financial aid provided to POs for carrying out trainings Training manuals, booklets/brochures on SHS system operation & maintenance also prepared and provided to POs/customers 12/16/2013 IDCOL has set up a dedicated customer care call centre to which customers report directly on system defects/maintenance issues, during warranty period After 3 years of warranty, users can sign annual maintenance agreements with POs IDCOL provides incentives to customers if they replace the old batteries through POs itself - this ensures safe disposal of used batteries by suppliers 12/16/2013 Project/Program Target SHS Program 4 million by 2015 Domestic Biogas Program 100,000 by 2016 Improved Cook Stove Program 1 million by 2015 Solar Irrigation Program 1,550 by 2016 Solar Mini Grid 50 by 2016 Biomass Gasification Project 50 by 2016 Biogas Based Electricity Project 50 by 2016 December 16, 2013 Thank you I am now open to Questions December 16, 2013
