CAREC’s regional projects • Germany (BMU): “Integrated Approach for the Development of Low Carbon Development Strategies in Central Asia” (NAMA) – DIW, CAREC • EU: “Sustainable Energy Programme for Central Asia: Renewable Energy Sources & Energy Efficiency” (CASEP) - GIZ, GfA, CAREC Strategy of the CAREC • Link the programme goals with existing and planned global and regional initiatives on climate change and sustainable energy: e.g. SE4ALL, EXPO 2017, PPCR, etc. • Support the public-private interactions and ensure the regional and national content. For example, business partners in RES and EE events; • Capacity building (e.g. climate finance mechanisms).
